The wait is over. Ram Charan and Sukumar’s much-awaited reunion, RC17, was officially launched today with a grand pooja ceremony in Hyderabad.
The pan-India project is produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings in association with T-Series.
Chiranjeevi Gives the First Clap
Megastar Chiranjeevi was the chief guest at the launch. He sounded the clapboard for the muhurtham shot and handed over the script to the team along with Dil Raju.
Bhushan Kumar of T-Series switched on the camera, and the first shot was directed by the directors present at the ceremony.
The Rangasthalam Duo Reunites
This is Ram Charan and Sukumar’s second film together after Rangasthalam, which remains a landmark in Telugu cinema. The film won wide acclaim for its story, performances and technical work, and Ram Charan’s performance as Chitti Babu is still counted among his best.
That history is why expectations for RC17 are already sky-high.
Ram Charan’s Complete Transformation
According to the makers, Ram Charan is going through a complete transformation for the role. Sukumar is set to present him in a strikingly different avatar, unlike anything audiences have seen from him before.
The film is being mounted on a lavish scale as a major pan-India entertainer.
The Peacock Feather Poster
The announcement poster has already got fans talking. It features a stunning peacock feather in vibrant shades of blue, green and gold, with Ram Charan’s face blended into the artwork. The brushstroke style and the plain white background make the colours stand out.
Along with the poster, the makers unveiled a simple tagline: “You Can Imagine.”
